A lot of reality TV stars really go through the ringer for that taste of fame and the opportunity to endorse products on Instagram. Is it really worth it? Apparently so. On the flip side, there are other people who appear on reality television that just don’t seem phased by the situation. They’ve never been in major scandal and they don’t dwell too much on the criticisms.
Two people that just really seem to be all about going with the flow and not getting bogged down with stress are Southern Charm stars Shep Rose and Cameran Eubanks. Shep doesn’t seem to ever get stressed out about anything and Cameran has managed to keep her personal life away from the reality TV cameras all while being the narrator of this show.
Shep discussed the latest season of Southern Charm during an interview with fellow Bravolebrity and Vanderpump Rules cast member Scheana Marie for her Scheananigans with Scheana Shay podcast.
Shep theorized, “I think that the reason that Cameran and I resonate with people is that we don’t really care. This doesn’t matter to us. We aren’t trying to do this or that or sell this. We’re just sort of sitting back and laughing at this whole thing.”
Scheana asked Shep to name his favorite Southern Charm cast member. Without hesitation, Shep answered “Cameran” and emphasized, “I mean Cameran.”
Scheana asked about Shep’s friend and occasional rival Austen Kroll. Shep shared, “Austen and I are very close.” He reminded us all, “I recommended that he be on the show.” He shared, “I was going to these parties at Austen’s house- these late nights. He was just this affable, fun guy and I was like the world should be exposed to more southern, affable fun guys.” Fair enough.
And then on the opposite end of the spectrum as far as likability goes is Thomas Ravenel. Shep said, “Of course we have Thomas who’s incredibly entertaining, but he can be volatile sometimes.” Scheana shared, “I’ve seen him be kind of a dick and he’s said things about some of us on social media.” Cue me searching Thomas’ Twitter accounts with names of all the Vanderpump Rules cast members looking for shade.
Shep told Scheana, “You know what the thing is, he always apologizes, but it’s like don’t do it in the first place, buddy.” If only Thomas took Shep’s advice- in many different situations.
