Congratulations are in order for Real Housewives of Atlanta guest star Shamea Morton. She and her husband Gerald Mwangi just announced that they are expecting their first child together.
Fittingly enough, Shamea shared the big news on Mother’s Day May 13, which coincided with her 36th birthday party. Atlanta Housewives Porsha Williams, Kandi Burruss, and Sheree Whitfield were all at the event to celebrate.
In an interview with Us Weekly, Shamea revealed, “I am due around Thanksgiving.” She gave a big speech at the party to break the news. She shared, “God has blessed me so much. I’ve got a great husband that I love so much. I’ve got awesome, awesome friends and family.”
Shamea continued, “The only thing I can ask if for a healthy baby.” And then things got….interesting. Us Weekly reports that Shamea and her husband each held up signs. Hers said “Shit just real” and his had “drawings of sperm” with the words “one made it.” That announcement is…. unique.
Before Shamea and her husband confirmed the pregnancy via those creative signs, Porsha actually suspected that they had a baby on the way. Shamea shared, “No one knew except my husband and my sister”. She also revealed “Porsha was trying to give me Hennessy, I was telling her I was waiting for my birthday to drink. She knew I was lying, she was like, ‘Bitch you are pregnant.’” If only Portia’s intuition was that spot-on in other social situations as well.
Atlanta Housewife Kenya Moore is expecting her first child at the end of the year. Maybe she and Shamea will have competing baby showers next season on Real Housewives of Atlanta.
