Has NeNe Leakes been getting financial advice from Sheree Whitfield? A month after supposedly settling an $800,000 tax lien with the IRS, NeNe’s been slammed with another one. This time she owes a whopping $95,000!
On September 22, the Georgia Department of Revenue filed a lien against the Real Housewives Of Atlanta star for $95,232.92 in unpaid taxes from 2014.

2014 was the same year the IRS accused NeNe of not properly paying taxes. Despite NeNe insisting non-payment was an “oversight” and announcing on Instagram that she paid in full, reports show that both NeNe’s federal and state liens remain active, meaning the debts are still outstanding.

NeNe’s original tax debt to the State of Georgia was $58,458, and the remaining $40k plus change is from accrued interest, penalties, and collection costs on the back tax debt. Um… sounds like The Life Of Leakes needs to include a better financial advisor, because Ms. Rich Bitch is watching her coins go plonk, plonk, bloop down the drain in fines and fees! Someone needs to watch an episode of Suze Orman.
The Daily Mail reports that if NeNe doesn’t pay soon, the Georgia Department of Revenue will begin proceedings to seize her assets to satisfy the debt. In 2015, NeNe purchased a $2 million dollar mansion outside of Atlanta.
NeNe apparently saw a big spike in earnings in 2014. In addition to reportedly earning $1.5 million to appear on Real Housewives Of Atlanta, she launched The NeNe Leakes Collection for HSN, appeared in Broadway’s Cinderella, and also competed on Dancing With The Stars.

Hopefully NeNe is working with an attorney to negotiate a settlement and will sort this out soon – otherwise She By SheBroke may be snapping up the Leakes Lair on the auction block! Let’s also hope one of NeNe‘s new-found Hollywood friends will recommend the name of a good CPA.
