“What is up with Kelly Dodd?” – me, every single time I watch Real Housewives of Orange County. I am all for giving people the benefit of the doubt and evaluating people based on your own experiences with them, but I don’t get why Kelly thinks she can have an opinion on the Vicki Gunvalson madness from last year when she wasn’t even in this friend group then.
Kelly came on the show as a friend of Meghan King Edmonds and I keep forgetting that since she is so attached to Vicki. The latest episode was also pretty perplexing when Meghan tried give her some advice about Vicki and Kelly reacted so rudely about it. As of now, no one on this show (except for Vicki) is friendly with Kelly, so maybe Kelly should have taken on her advice and things would be going better for her.

Meghan is not the most interesting reality star (to put it mildly), but she does seem like a genuinely nice person. It honestly did not seem like she was trying to back stab Vicki when she was giving Kelly advice on how to navigate the group dynamic. All she was doing was telling her how things are and letting her be free to make her own decision.
So obviously Meghan was pretty miffed by Kelly’s reaction to her advice about being careful with Vicki. She ended up writing about it in her Bravo blog. She said, “It’s really disappointing that Kelly downplayed my advice regarding Vicki and the group of women and that she thought that I was being selfish and then insinuated that it was something a millennial might do.”

I don’t see what Meghan’s age has to do with anything. Meghan was only trying to help out Kelly with some advice – and I have news for you, she should have taken it because it doesn’t seem like her fellow cast members (or the fans) are really feeling Kelly.
Meghan emphasized that she wasn’t trying to make Kelly take sides or anything at all petty when she wrote, “I really was trying to be her friend and be a peacemaker between her and the other women. I know that in some unfortunate circumstances though, Kelly does tend to go for the cheap jabs, so I’m not hurt or shocked that she would minimize my heartfelt advice by mocking my age.”
Based on the trailers and other previews for the rest of the season, it is clear that Kelly is really petty and loves to say outrageous things mid-argument, so it’s not surprising that she decided to insult the nicest person in the cast.
