In a turn of events that will surprise absolutely no one on this planet (literally, not one. Single. Person.), Kris Jenner someone has decided to capitalize on the awkwardness that arises when one’s son proposes to his pregnant girlfriend who also has a baby with said son’s teenage sister’s rapper (now ex) boyfriend.
Seriously, if you didn’t see this one coming, you may want to consult a ophthalmologist. That’s right–after peacing out on his family’s show Keeping up with the Kardashians, Rob Kardashian has reappeared this season. And no, that’s not the news to which I’m referring. On the heels of this triumphant return to reality television, Rob and his fiance Blac Chyna have also garnered their own little series. Shocking, I know!

E! News is reporting that it will be airing a six episode docu-series which will likely premiere in the fall. Each one hour installment will follow the couple from their engagement to the birth of their first child. Of course it will! Working title? Why, what else? Rob & Blac Chyna! So creative. Hold on to your hats because you are going to flip when you hear which companies are producing this masterpiece. It’s none other than the dynamic duo of Ryan Seacrest Productions and Bunim/Murray Productions. Where have I heard those names before? Oh wait…
The network’s Executive Vice-President of Original Programming & Development reminds viewers, “Very few love stories have created as much pop culture buzz as Rob and Chyna’s, and we are thrilled to see Rob in such a happy place. We are excited to share the next chapter in their relationship.”
While Rob’s recurrence on KUWTK is laced with drama due to his stained relationships with sisters Kim (a former bestie of Chyna) and Kylie Jenner (who was dating Chyna’s ex Tyga during filming), the spin-off won’t focus on negativity. An insider tells the site, “Blac Chyna and Kim are slowly rebuilding their friendship. They do hangout without Rob and talk about all different things,” adding, “The family is happy to see how bright Rob is and that’s what they care about. Blac and Rob are so excited to have their baby! Rob is making sure Chyna takes it easy and does not over do it.”
I for one, can’t wait. Rob has been my favorite Kardashian since he compared Kim to the psychopath in Gone Girl. And really…those of you who are even the least bit astounded by this news need to head to an eye doctor. Stat.
