Below Deck Alum Kat Held Dishes On Her Life After The Show

Kat Held Talks Life After Below Deck

Kat Held was quite the party animal during her two seasons on Below Deck, but since leaving the show, her life is completely different. These days, instead of yachting and partying, Held is busy working and going to school. But many fans have been wondering whether or not Kat keeps in touch with anyone from the show and what she thinks of the new crew.

Luckily for us, Held took some time recently to answer those questions and dish about her life after the show. “I realized it was time to go down a different path and try something new. Kat Held is no longer the party animal she once was, or at least like she was while on Below Deck. Instead, since leaving the show, Kat has gone home to Rhode Island and gone back to school to be a physical trainer. However, that doesn’t mean she doesn’t miss it. ” I definitely miss being on the show. I miss being a part of all the shenanigans the crew and I got into. Below Deck allowed me to build lifelong memories and relationships. I wouldn’t trade that for anything,” Held told Bravo’s Daily Dish recently.

We know, we know, you’re probably wondering if Kat keeps in touch with any of her old cast mates. Well, she does. “Aleks and I have kept in touch a lot. He’s been a genuine friend to me. He’s a very positive, hardworking, and caring individual. He’s almost like the brother I never had. I can tell him anything without feeling judged,” Held dished, adding that she also keeps in touch with Kate, Ben and Captain Lee.

So, why the sudden change her in lifestyle? Kat claims that being on television was her reality check, “Watching yourself and your behavior on television is a great form of psychology. There were things I learned about myself that I did not like, so I made it a point to change those things. I’ve learned that with everything in life, moderation is key. In order to be successful and make positive decisions, your health is one of the most important things to have on your side.”

When asked about what advice she would give this season’s cast, Kat said, “Always be yourself, don’t take everything that you hear to heart or too personally, have fun, and enjoy the experience while it lasts. Stand behind yourself, stand behind your crewmates, build positive relationships, and don’t burn bridges — or the boat.”
