I know, I know, we hear this all of the time. Reality television is not all that it is cracked up to be, right? But this coming from any one of the Basketball Wives stars…well, we would think that they knew what they were getting into, at least drama-wise, right? Not so. At least according to former Basketball Wives L.A. star Draya Michele.
Instead, Draya Michele says that reality television can ruin your life. Yep, in a new interview, Draya talks about her departure from the show, as well as the dangers of being on a reality show. Hmm, I never thought of reality television as dangerous, have you?

Reality television…dangerous? Who knew? Okay, maybe not dangerous is that sense, but according to Basketball Wives’ Draya Michele, reality television can ruin you and your life. “I don’t recommend doing it. I think it ruins families, relationships, work relationships. I think it tarnishes your name,” Draya told BET recently.
BASKETBALL WIVES L.A. RENEWED FOR SEASON 5
And after four seasons on Basketball Wives L.A., Draya Michele has had her fill of the drama and name tarnishing. “Reality TV is really tricky. The first two seasons were the hardest, but that’s when I enjoyed it the most. The last two seasons were the easiest, but I was just mentally over it.”
Of course, being mentally “over it” is something that many reality stars say, but then continue to stick around for the drama. However, that is not happening for Draya. Instead, Draya is done. “I got to grow up in front of America. But now that I’m grown, I don’t need every single thing I do to be on TV and to be judged…I just don’t like it anymore. I just want to live a more private life,” she added.
Good for you Draya! We wish you luck, but your fans will certainly miss you on the show.
