We can’t say that we didn’t see this one coming. After word got out about Josh Duggar molesting his sisters (and others) many years ago, and along with the fact that Jim Bob and Michelle hid it from authorities, TLC decided after much consideration that it would be best for them to cancel 19 Kids and Counting. However, since the news of the show’s demise broke, there have also been rumors floating around claiming that the Duggar girls could be getting their own show.
Well, turns it out it was not a rumor. Yep, TLC announced recently that both Jill (Duggar) Dillard and Jessa (Duggar) Seewald will be starring in their very own series special. While we are sure that this will make some fans very happy, we’re also certain that others are not going to be so happy about this news. Which side are you on?

Admit it folks, you knew this was coming sooner or later. While many fans thought they’d seen the last of the Duggars on television, they were wrong. Instead (and after months of rumors), TLC announced that both Jill and Jessa Duggar will be getting their own television special – whether you like it or not.

“What we will be following in these specials is Jessa preparing for her first child, and we’ll be watching Jill preparing to make a major move to Central America with her family, which we know is something our audience will be interested in,” TLC Executive Vice President and General Manager Nancy Daniels told The Associated Press.
So, exactly how many specials will they do? So far, it is said that there will be “two or more.” And while there was no word on whether or not Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar may make an appearance, one thing is certain – Josh Duggar is banned from all TLC programming, so don’t expect to see him.
Both Jill and Jessa Duggar are excited about the specials, and according to Daniels, fans are as well. “We know that our audience is really excited about what’s been going on with Jill and Jessa as they move into young adulthood. And now they’re both at the precipice of big changes. With what was happening in their lives in the next few months, it felt like now is the time (for the specials), and we got going pretty quickly,” Daniels added.
