It turns out there was a reason Yolanda Foster wouldn’t let Gigi Hadid eat cake – Gigi had “huge” thighs and has to maintain that supermodel body type! Gag me – I’ll eat all the f–king cake.
The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star’s daughter has quickly catapulted into supermodel territory but Gigi shares that it wasn’t always easy as she struggled with body insecurities and was constantly rejected when she started modeling.
“When I first went to visit different agencies in New York, a lot of them were like, you have to lose a lot of weight,” reveals Gigi. “I would cry at night and my mom would be like, ‘We’re going to find the [right] people'” She finally did sign with IMG Models and her career took off. “If you just embrace yourself other people accept you in the same way.”

“I [ate] like a man – more than the man that I eat like now, like a bigger man – and it was crazy but at the time I didn’t care what my body looked like, I just wanted to be the best volleyball player I could be so it didn’t really matter to me,” Gigi explains. “My thighs were huge, they were like rock!”
“I’m kind of the model that everyone thought would always be the Guess, Sports Illustrated girl, then when I started to do high fashion stuff… people were like, ‘Oh so we can have a girl with like thighs and a butt in a Tom Ford campaign, cool,'” Gigi tells the Daily Mail.
“Once I started modeling one of my things was like yeah, I don’t need to be a man volleyball player but I also don’t want to be like [holds up her little finger] two pounds soaking wet,” describes Gigi. “I just want to be a healthy role model and I haven’t swayed from that at all.” Yeah – we know all about how healthy role models run in Gigi’s family… #SerialSickies

Gigi insists she still eats “multiple burgers” per week, but has toned down her “athletic” physique to fit the high fashion body type – and she readily admits to losing weight to appease certain clients! Gigi’s go to diet, like mother like daughter is Master Cleanse! “I personally would rather do the Master Cleanse for ten days than just eat salad for six months,” states Gigi. “You need to find things that are still a healthy way of doing it and for some jobs that’s just the best way to do it unless you start six months in advance.”
“I can have the body for a certain runway show if I need to but that doesn’t mean that I’m doing it in an unhealthy way,” she insists. Gigi defends the master cleanse as a healthy way to slim down. “It’s something that has been tested for so many years it’s not bad for your metabolism, it’s a very measured out way of not starving your body,” she declares.
Yeah, mmmkay. Now pass the cake.
