Don’t count NeNe Leakes and her acting career out just yet! Our favorite Southern gal may need to move back to L.A. again for a familiar acting gig. And no, we are not talking about the return of The New Normal — although wouldn’t that be great?? NeNe was so good (well, the whole show was wonderful) on the Ryan Murphy produced sitcom, but NBC only gave it one season.
And no, we are also not talking about filming the new season of the Real Housewives of Atlanta. Because that is not acting, right? (wink, wink)
Nope, NeNe is returning to LA to reprise her role in another Ryan Murphy hit TV show. But just how long will she need to stay?

Sadly not very long. But at least we get to see the return of NeNe’s Coach Roz Washington on the final season of Glee.
NeNe first brought her tough-talking former Olympian swim coach to Glee’s McKinley High in season three. She was brilliant as she went toe-to-toe with Jane Lynch’s cheerleading Coach Sue Sylvester. Since then, she has appeared quite a few times, last season taking over the Cheerios from Coach Sylvester and leading them to the National Championships.
Since Sue is rumored to still be the principal in the final season, we can assume that means that NeNe is coming back to lead the Cheerios. Right now, it is only confirmed that NeNe will appear in one episode of Glee’s short final season, which is set to premiere this spring.
So what comes after NeNe’s return to Glee? Besides filming the latest season of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, I’m starting a write-in campaign for NeNe to join the next season of Mr. Murphy’s American Horror Story. Will you join me?
TELL US! WHAT DO YOU THINK NENE’S NEXT ACTING MOVE SHOULD BE?
