Andy Cohen will not let The Real Housewives of New York go down without a fight. After the ratings disaster that was this season, Andy Cohen is taking back the reins and hoping to boost the ratings by doing a little cast re-shuffling and maybe even a little firing.
The exact problem of the ratings decline has yet to be identified, but my guess is it has something to do with unrealistic storylines — bookgate — and planned confrontations — leg throwing. Huh, I just realized that both of those have to do with Aviva. Hmmmmmmm….more on that in a bit.

A Bravo insider recently spoke with the NY Daily News Confidenti@l, about what Andy’s plans are for most of the ladies. First up, Carole Radziwill and the Countess Luann de Lesseps, both of who are for sure back for next season.
“Carole is also safe,” says the source. “She is a dear friend of Andy’s and has formed a genuine friendship with Heather Thomson. This is what the show is looking for,” adds another insider. “They want genuine relationships and drama, and want to stay away from anything the ladies ‘stage’ to make good TV — such as throwing an artificial leg.”
Plus Luann will return as a full-time housewife, not the pay-to-play castmate she was last season.
Speaking of genuine wine-soaked friendships, Sonja Morgan’s future is uncertain, but Ramona Singer has been made an offer to come back with a catch. “Ramona is the heart of the show and will be welcomed back if she agrees that her marriage troubles be part of her deal,” a friend close to Singer tells Confidenti@l. “At the reunion, Ramona shut down any questions of her doomed marriage. She will not be able to do that if she returns.”
How much do we love that!! Hello Ramona, you signed up to be on a reality show, now show us your reality! I cannot be the only person who wanted Andy to give Ramona a smack-down at the reunion!
Now, I promised you some news and it is good! Ding Dong! The Witch is Dead! The stars have aligned because after all of her obvious stunts last season, Aviva is being shown the door.
“It is the end of the road for Aviva. She has not been told anything officially, but has been told if she wants to start looking for other TV opportunities, it is fine with Bravo,” reveals a network executive.
Now, let’s hope all these changes can get the once great Real Housewives of New York back on track!
