Basketball Wives star Draya Michele has some explaining to do! The reality starlet has been accused of throwing out some homophobic slurs upon seeing the crowd that showed up for a paid appearance.
Now, Draya claims that she was simply too sick to host the even at Penthouse Nightclub. She also says she called the club owner with plenty of notice and told him that she would not be able to make it. The owner then threatened to trash Draya in the media. Sounds simple enough, right?
Well, a hostess for the club has a whole different story of what actually happened….

The hostess at Penthouse, told TMZ that Draya did in fact show up to host. But, upon seeing the crowd that had shown up to see her said she did not want to waste her time entertaining “f**s and d**es”.
Draya, of course, denies that she uttered the slurs, but the club insists that Draya accepted a $2,500 deposit and when she chose to leave/never showed up, the club actually lost money when the crowd got up and left.
Draya has taken to Twitter with a slew of tweets to defend herself.
“Lol… Please. It’s already been established a long time ago that I love the gays. #stopthelies”
“I’m so glad people know who I am, and what I believe in.”
“Not everyone is dense enough to believe everything they read.”
Not sure we will ever know whose story is the truth, but the Basketball Wives star did tell TMZ she would be happy to “entertain her LGBT fans on another night … at a different club.”
