Can we go ahead and start jumping on Oprah's couch over this news? That's probably putting the cart ahead of the horse, but TLC has announced a new show which will premiere this summer that will follow famed actress and former Scientologist Leah Remini and her family.
I'm not going to hold my breath that this show will divulge all the secrets of the controversial religion, but a gal can hope, right?

According to The Wrap, the network has ordered 12 thirty minute episodes from the same production company responsible for the hit Duck Dynasty. The as yet untitled show will follow Leah and her husband of ten years, and the couple's nine-year-old daughter. Also in the mix will be Leah's mother and step-father, sister and brother-in-law, and her housekeeper, nanny, and personal assistant.
Of the new show, a TLC executive shares, “Leah is a no-nonsense, hard-working, relatable mom, wife, daughter, and sister. Her sharp humor and unfiltered family are a perfect match for the network,” adding, “This series continues our focus on creating compelling series about remarkable families, using heart and humor to anchor it to the TLC brand."
Previously, Leah starred in King of Queens which seems to live forever in syndication, competed on Dancing with the Stars, and she currently has a recurring role in TV Land's The Exes. She also made me extremely jealous in her baby doll dresses and biker shorts when she was romancing Zack Morris on Saved By the Bell. Curses, Stacey Carosi!
Do I think she'll spill any dirt on Scientology? No. But will I keep my fingers crossed that it happens? You bet!
