Big Rich Texas stars Bonnie Blossman and Whitney Whatley – my favorite mother/daughter duo – are having a truly amazing month! First, Whitney and Brandon "Booger" Overbey welcomed their beautiful baby girl, Rhythm Myer, to the family. Then, Bonnie announced a Big Rich Texas spinoff, Big Rich Texas: Whitney's Having A Baby.
I don't think I have to tell y'all how flipping excited I am!
Following the birth of her daughter, Whitney said, “It was surreal seeing Rhythm Myer for the first time after having her to myself for nine months. I wasn't sure if I was ready to share her with the world, but she is my life and I love her more than words can express. I am truly excited to be a mother!”

Talking to Style Network just before Rhythm's birth, Bonnie said, "Whit and I have grown closer (if that was possible) during her pregnancy, and I couldn't be happier with our relationship. I think that for the first time since she became an adult, she realizes she needs me and I'm not just a best friend."
On sharing Whitney with Booger, Bonnie said, "I realize Brandon is in her life, and he and I have adopted a slight brother-sister sibling-rivalry thing when it comes to Whit, but it is all in fun. We have the same motive: keeping Whit and baby healthy, happy, and loved."
Bonnie made it very clear that she wasn't ready to be a grandma on Big Rich Texas. But, I mean, Bonnie's family is obviously her WORLD, so how does she feel now?
"I have an aging issue, and I've had it since my early 20s," shared Bonnie. "I am VERY scared to become the 'G-word' in title. I've maybe flipped out a bit over the last few months with the changes I've undergone, but I can't even describe the feelings I have for this little girl – it is nearly supernatural."
Bonnie's honesty about aging is refreshing. Honesty? In reality TV? What a concept, huh? Bonnie went on to reveal that she and Jason Myer will be called BonBon and Grumpa.
On Brandon's parents, Bonnie said, "We have grown closer and are all excited to become co-grandparents. You'll see how different Jan, Brandon's mother, and I are, but in the end, that's probably a great thing for the baby. I couldn't ask for a better co-grandparent. Well, I say the same about Bo, Brandon's dad, because he is great! I think children should be influenced by all kinds of people and personalities. It makes them well rounded and not so one-sided."
We saw Jason refuse to give Booger his blessing to propose to Whitney on Big Rich Texas. Now, Whitney and Booger are not only engaged to be married, but also new parents. Has Jason come around?
"It was a struggle at first," admitted Bonnie. "There has been a ton of work in that arena since this pregnancy started, and I can safely say that those two are buddies! Jason actually told Brandon that he is glad that he will be his son-in-law one day soon — Halloween 2013! Our family of five (soon to be six) is extremely close, and I couldn't be more thrilled with how things have worked out."
There's no doubt in my mind that baby Rhythm will be well-loved. And spoiled! Keeping it real again, Bonnie shared, "I have already bought the most awesome and fashionable wardrobe for the baby – equipped with the most stylish headbands, hair bows, faux-fur diaper covers, tutus, blinged-out pacifiers, and the most adorable socks you've ever seen." HAHA. I love Bonnie!
Bonnie added, "This baby will want for absolutely nothing. Whit and I have major plans for her in the realm of pageants, cheerleading, dance, gymnastics, singing, and golf. And after daily tea parties with her Bonbon, this child will have no time to get in trouble, that's for sure!"
