Desiree Hartsock's season of the Bachelorette premieres in less than one month, and I, for one, cannot wait.
Two reasons: I much prefer the Bachelorette over the Bachelor. A house full of laid-back men is much more entertaining to me than a house full of catty women. Also, Emily Maynard made my head pound, so I feel gypped out of a season.
In a recent interview with People, Desiree talks about her parent's marriage, shares what she looks for in a partner, and touches on that very first night.
Desiree longs to find a love like the one her parents share. "My parents have been together for 40 years and married for 35," Desiree shares. "My dad has her back no matter what, and she's so affectionate to him. They act like they are 16."

Desiree's perfect guy definitely wants a family someday. Any guy "who is selfish and doesn't want kids" will not be offered a rose.
"I like someone who's spontaneous and enjoys every aspect of life," Desiree adds. "And not to get too serious, but someone who could be my best friend and be a support system, someone who I can see as the father of my kids."

Desiree admits that meeting 25 guys in one night is overwhelming. "Luckily, I know how it is, so I empathized with them and their nerves," Desiree shares. "I'm not going to lie. I have a great group of guys."
