Sexy Dancing with the Stars pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy is ready to move on to the next phase of his life.
Maks announced today that he will not return to Dancing with the Stars after his contract expires at the end of next year. So, that means he's still obligated to bring the eye candy to All Stars, plus 2 more seasons (spring and fall).
“What else do I have to do there after 15 seasons?” Maks said. “It makes total sense. The audience can’t expect for me to want to stick around, and the producers can’t expect for me to want to stick around.”
While there is no love lost between Maks and the DWTS's judges, Maks tweeted he has "nothing but love, gratitude, and respect" for everyone who has been a part of his Dancing with the Stars career. Maks referred to the time as an "amazing aspect" of his life.

Maks continued, “But I am not doing that ‘Maks thing’ anymore. I don’t think I need to, and I don’t want to. It did what it did for me, but I want people to know that I am not a one-sided personality. I am a lot of fun to watch, even without constant drama."
Maks is ready to focus on his own career. “Essentially, 80% of our job is to give somebody another push in their career. Or we make them into likable characters. But at the end of the day, they go off and they better themselves," Maks explained.
(Side note: likeable characters? FYI, Tony. We still hate Kate Gosselin.)
Maks went on to say, "I loved doing it, but to be honest with you, at 32, I am at what-about-me time." What does that "me" time include? Maks caught the acting bug!
In fact, Maks has landed his first major movie role. The romantic comedy begins filming in January. “I never thought I was ready,” Maks said. “Then I had a whole day of reading with the director and casting director, and I enjoyed it so much!
Also, Maks hinted that there could be a Maks and Val (brother and fellow DWTS pro) reality show in the works. I'm sooo there!
