Kate Gosselin Slams Jon’s Job & Parenting, Calling It “Mediocre!” Defends Reality TV As Her “Job”

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned – by reality TV!

Kate Gosselin, soon-to-be former star of TLC’s Kate Plus 8, is spitting mad after ex-husband and former co-star, Jon Gosselin called her out on her perpetual quest for C-List celebritydom. Slamming Kate’s aspirations to be the next Kris Jenner, Jon advised: “Reality television is not a career. Get back to normal life, simple life, provide for your family, and go from there.”

Well Kate isn’t willing to retire retaliated, of course, by calling out Jon’s parenting – even though hers basically consists of hiring a bevy of nannies while she works out, tans, and buys $50,000K two-seater sports cars. During a Today Show interview with Matt Lauer, Kate remarked: “It’s a situation where Jon may be accepting of mediocre for his kids by working a regular job, but I want the best for my kids and to give them the best opportunity.”

Kate continued to deride Jon’s aspirations of a normal childhood for his children by stating: “It would have to be the right [show], but the best opportunity would be me continuing in TV for my kids,” she said. “If the right thing came along, I’m sure you will see my kids at some point.” As for the end of their her show, Kate wants everyone to know she’s not just using her children for money and attention; it’s her career.

“There’s fear because this has been the start of my career and my job and how I’ve been providing for my kids for six years.” What she really means to say is this is how TLC has been providing for her kids for six years!

Kate confirmed: “I think at this point, the best opportunity for all of us would be me continuing on TV as a way to provide for my kids. Something that’s exciting and challenging for me has been TV, and I wouldn’t be opposed to it. I’m sure you will see my kids again at some point.”

After Kate’s snarking received backlash from the public, she is now recanting her statements, claiming Jon isn’t so bad after all – it’s just his career choice that is. Kate Tweeted: “2clarify re ‘mediocre’ – I meant this job is not a career acc 2 jon but tv is 4 me & is hard but will prov best opps 4 my kids vs nursing!” If you can decipher the Twit-diction.

Well a fan snapped back, wondering if TV was the new qualifier for a exceptional parenting: “So, because my husband and I aren’t on tv constantly like @Kateplusmy8 , we’re only providing a “mediocre” life for our daughter?” Prompting Kate to reply: “That’s not wut I said @all. Was responding 2jons comment only re ME getting a ‘normal’ job–which would not work$ bc I hav 8!” She needs television to feed and clothe her 8 children!

Don’t expect Kate to go away anytime soon, because remember TV is her J-O-B and her fans need her! “I feel sad for fans, because they’re devastated,” she explained to Matt Lauer. “They’re saying, you know, you’re the neighbor moving far away and we won’t see you again.”

But fret not as Kate promises she and her plus 8 will return! She also feels bad for fans who might be “devastated” over the show cancellation. “I feel sad for fans, because they’re devastated,” said Kate. “They’re saying, you know, you’re the neighbor moving far away and we won’t see you again.” Not delusional at all that Kate!
