Camille Grammer Files for Custody of Kids, Kelsey Only Wants Son

The brewing custody battle between exes Camille Grammer and Kelsey Grammer took a much uglier turn yesterday.

First Camille, star of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, decided to seek full custody of her two kids with Kelsey on Thursday. This comes weeks after Kelsey originally filed to get primary custody of the children, Mason, 9, and Jude, 6.

In the court papers, Camille claims Kelsey’s filings were “done in order to create a false impression to the media and to wrongfully disparage” her.

Also in the court filing, Camille aims to prevent her kids from spending the summer with Kelsey away from California. “Jude has repeated kindergarten twice,” the documents state. “He is now working with tutors so that he can enter first grade at a public elementary school beginning in the Fall of 2011. In order to get into first grade Jude will have to do a math study program for the entire summer in Los Angeles.”

Things took an uglier turn when sources close to Camille informed TMZ that Kelsey only wanted primary custody of his son, and not his daughter with Camille. Kelsey’s lawyer denied the report to TMZ yesterday.

However, Camille’s camp sent TMZ a document this morning, from April, in which Kelsey does indeed ask for their son Jude to come live with him, while Mason stays with Camille. “Kelsey proposes … Kelsey shall have primary physical custody of Jude and Camille shall have primary physical custody of Mason,” the document states.

Kelsey’s rep, Stan Rosenfield, then told TMZ, “Despite the fact that those connected with Camille Grammer seem to be hand delivering confidential documents to TMZ and other media outlets, we will continue not to make public statements about their private matters which can and apparently does beg for misinterpretation.”

As of the moment, it appears the case will go to trial. The Grammers currently have a temporary arrangement in place until July 2.
