It’s more Teen Mom heartbreak for Leah Messer and Corey Simms. Just a month after deciding to divorce, Corey now has a new girlfriend – another young mother – leaving ex Leah devastated.
OK Magazine reports that Corey has moved on with Texan Amber Scaggs, who has her own 11-month-old daughter. The obvious question is how did Corey start a relationship with someone halfway across the country how accurate is this story? Well, it’s straight from the homewrecker’s horse’s mouth. Amber herself is fighting back against accusations that Corey was cheating on Leah with her while the couple was still married.
In an effort to capitalize on her fifteen minutes clear her name, Amber tells the magazine exclusively that she didn’t even know Corey when Leah filed for divorce after six months of marriage. She defends herself by saying, “I’m the last person who would ever break up a family. You can’t break something that is already broken. Leah filed for divorce from Corey. That’s clearly saying, ‘I don’t want to be with you.’ ”
Sources reveal that Corey and Amber have a lot in common because they “have both been through a lot of the same things in their relationships.” These same sources add that Amber found herself alone with baby Bralyn when her boyfriend and the baby’s father Hayden O’ Brien couldn’t handle the reality of being a parent.
And kindly enough, Amber has nothing against Leah. A source tells Hollybaby that “[Amber] doesn’t dislike or think anything negative about Leah. [She] isn’t the kind of person to pass judgement on someone she has never physically met.” Amber is more focused on her budding romance, but recognizes that Corey, who has twin daughters Aliannah and Aleeah with Leah, is dealing with a lot as well. She explains, “He has a lot on his plate, so the future is uncertain. Still, I’ll be a very lucky girl to build something with Corey.” Hopefully she’s telling Corey her feelings as much as she’s telling the media.
Also utilizing the (social) media is scorned Leah. While she initiated the divorce, Leah’s friends say that she was still open to discussing the couple’s future and is hurt that Corey has moved on so quickly. The Teen Mom recently tweeted, “&& your a skanky honewrecker [sic], straight up!(: A new beginning is always a fine place to start, and that’s what I’m gonna have to do(:” Hmmm…who could she be addressing in that little rant?
