It was a busy night this Monday on Dancing With The Stars as we saw the return of the Instant Dance!
The five remaining stars were under a lot of stress as they had to do two dances last night: Their regular dance routine and an insta-dance, which meant they received the music for their second routine only 30 minutes before their performances.
Chelsea Kane and partner Mark Ballas received the highest scores of the night. In fact, the duo was only one point shy of getting the first perfect score of the season. Chelsea and Mark received a score of 29 for their almost perfect waltz. “You’ve finally found the perfect dance for Chelsea to shine!” said judge Bruno Tonioli.
Improving this week was Kirstie Alley, earning a very impressive score of 28 for her Argentine tango with partner Maksim. “Your body is shrinking, your talent is huge!” raved Bruno. Meanwhile Kirstie experienced yet another mishap but this time during her rehearsals. While rehearsing with Maksim, Kirstie missed a jump and fell off a stage. She blamed her fall for lack of sleep and forgetting to eat. Kirstie admitted to only taking in 1,400 calories a day and also revealed she is now down to a size 4 to 6ish.
Coming in last place this week was Ralph Macchio, who revealed last night that he was battling a bum knee. Ralph revealed he had missed a few days of practice after suffering a ruptured cyst behind his knee. Despite coming in last, the 49-year-old actor didn’t fare too badly, getting a 25 for his Viennese Waltz with partner Karina Smirnoff and a 21 in the insta-dance.
“For someone who’s had limited time to practice, you did a great job,” said Len Goodman. “The thing is, it lacked polish. You only get polish with time.” Despite his injury, Ralph remains in serious danger of going home tonight.
