Real Housewives of Orange County star Alexis Bellino is once again responding to the allegations made by her costar and friend of 4 years Peggy Tanous.
During an interview with the E! network last week, OC newbie Peggy accused Alexis of sabotaging her efforts to join the cast. “Alexis didn’t really want me on the show,” said Peggy.
But it didn’t end there as Peggy added, “Alexis told me that [Housewives] was supposed to be ‘her thing.’ That made it really hard to film because I am a very strong believer in friendship.” Meow!
Alexis admits that she indeed did not want Peggy on the show but states that it was intended to protect their friendship. “I [had] this sick feeling [that] the show was going to eat us alive—tear our friendship apart,” she told E!. “I was trying to protect our friendship because to me our friendship is more important than the show. I just wanted our friendship to last.”
“Now that she’s saying I didn’t want to share the spotlight,” Alexis added. “I’m like, ‘Girl, there’s going to be six girls on the show—I’m going to have to share the spotlight. Why do I care if I share the spotlight?’ I don’t understand her whole philosophy, she’s changed a lot this season, to be honest with you.”
So can this friendship be salvaged? Alexis isn’t certain. “I just know that my friend that I had four years ago before the show wouldn’t talk about me behind my back, wouldn’t say the things she’s saying in interviews that I’m finding out about. And a couple things happen during the season where she kicks me while I’m down.”
Moving on to Tamra Barney, who revealed on Watch What Happens Live this week that she and Peggy got roofied during a recent outing in NYC.
Tamra and Peggy were at a bar alongside Vicki Gunvalson, and NYC housewife Ramona Singer, when a fan walked up and handed them both drinks that he had bought them. “He asked us if we would go to a club with him and we said no over and over again,” said Tamra. Eventually, Tamra and Peggy ended up passing out once they got back to their hotel.
Tamra now reveals to RadarOnline that she is hoping to catch the perpetrator. “My attorney is calling to see if there is a surveillance video,” Tamra revealed. “I know the guy that did it walked up with two drinks that were pink. He had sunglasses on and looked Middle Eastern. That’s all I remember,” she added.
Tamra adds that she has learned her lesson not to accept drinks from strangers, and hopes that someone got a picture of the guy since everyone was taking photos that night.
