Branden Mathena aka Chi chi from Daisy of Love is talking about his time and dismissal from show. In this new interview with VH1, Chi chi remains positive when talking about his friendship with Sinister, his feelings towards Daisy and being called “creepy” by others.

How was the show for you?

It was fun. It was the best time of my life. I loved it.

Daisy was afraid that keeping you and Sinister on the show together was driving a stake through your friendship. Did you two reconcile?

Yeah, right away. We’re best friends. We live together. We’ve been best friends for years. We’ve lived together for a while.

Nothing that he said ever took a toll on your friendship?

No, he never really upset me. I respect him for his opinion. I know he’s my best friend, so we’re just honest with each other. All you can do is be honest. You can’t help the way you feel inside. When I watch the show – we watch it together every Sunday – it’s like he’s throwing me under the bus and making fun of me and stuff, and I’m like, “Wow, dude.” ‘Cause I would never say nothing bad about anybody so I’m just like, “Wow, that’s just gonna make you look bad, idiot.”

It’s funny that you came off as one of the most sensitive guys on the show, yet unlike so many of the others, you didn’t really cry after you were eliminated.

Yeah, I wasn’t crying in the bathroom either, they edit that stuff. But yeah, I was just happy for Daisy, and I respect her decision. Like I said before: you can’t help the way you feel inside, and if you’re honest, people shouldn’t judge you. I just want the best for her. I just want her to be happy.

Was there any sense of disappointment at all?

Rejection hurt. It sucked. No one wants to be rejected, you know? There’s all these guys, and I’m like, the fifth best guy? It sucked like being in the house and liking her and she’s showing attention to everybody else. It feels like a waste of time. I would never do that in real life.

What do you think about your reputation as a brown-noser in the house?

I come off like that because somebody will say something negative to me, and I’m just gonna come back with something positive. Because you have this aura, and when you’re negative, bad stuff just feeds back and forth and it’s bad. Negativity is bad, and nothing good can come out of it.

Was that hard to deal with at all? It seems like you have to be a really big person to always turn the other cheek, especially with reality TV drama.

No, not at all. I’m just thankful that I’m sitting here on the phone with you talking, and I’m alive and healthy. I mean, what is better than that? I could die tomorrow, bro. it’s the best time of my life, right now.

Daisy called you creepy. What do you think of that?

I was a little intoxicated and I wanted her to show me attention and she wasn’t. I was getting eliminated that night. I could tell three days before it. I was just craving her attention, that’s all. Maybe I am creepy. I don’t care.

When you camped outside of Daisy’s room, did you hear anything X-rated going on between her and 12 Pack?

Oh, I couldn’t hear nothing. It wasn’t bad or nothing. I just wanted to see her. I just wanted to hold her and talk to her. And if we didn’t have a connection I was gonna be like, “Fine, I’m bouncin’!” I even broke out of the house once, and they all had to chase me down.

What happened?

I broke out of the bathroom window and left. I got intoxicated again, and Daisy was showing attention to all these guys so I just broke out and left.

You just wanted to leave the show?

Yeah. And then I was watching the show the other day, about the dune buggy thing. I used to be a semi-truck driver, and I had dune buggies and bikes all my life. Like, that was me. I rocked that s***. I was doing the jumps. Flex stalled like five times and they had to rescue him. He didn’t know how to drive the thing. And they edited it like it was me to make him look cool. Haha, I was like, “Whatever.”

You were the only one who was nice to London upon his return.

Yea, ’cause she liked him. You got to respect whatever decision she makes because it’s her house and we’re here for her, and for her to be happy. And if she likes him, I like him too. He’s cool. Cool guy.
